ESI Ensures Air Data Accuracy with Outstanding Colocation Study Results
February 25, 2025
Ecosystem Informatics Inc. (ESI),a leader in environmental monitoring technology, has successfully completed a series of co-location calibration studies, including a large-scale deployment at three stations in Denver, Colorado. With a combination of mobile and stationary units, ESI collected data in Welby, the Rocky Flats industrial complex, and Interstate 25 in the Denver area. This study was conducted in partnership with the Colorado Department of Public Health & Environment(CDPHE) and measured NO2, O3, PM2.5, H2S and PM10 against government reference stations to assess data accuracy. These colocation studies validate the accuracy and reliability of ESI’s air quality sensors, which now demonstrate over 95% correlation with reference data for PM2.5 and ozone (O3), with similarly high performance for additional pollutants.
ESI’s commitment to continuous benchmarking ensures our air quality monitoring technology remains at the forefront of innovation. Through extensive co-location studies across multiple cities with diverse environmental conditions—including Denver (USA), Hamilton(Canada), Tallinn (Estonia), and Hyderabad (India)—we rigorously validate the accuracy and reliability of our systems against established reference instruments. These studies highlight the versatility of our technology, proving its effectiveness in diverse settings and reinforcing confidence in our data. By integrating advanced AI-driven calibration, ESI’s real-time self-calibration monitoring solutions consistently deliver high-quality results, whether deployed in fixed stations or mobile applications.
Pushing the Boundaries of Air Quality Monitoring
ESI’s continuous research and co-location studies ensure that its sensors meet and exceed industry benchmarks, supporting governments, industries, and communities in making informed environmental decisions. All air quality sensors are susceptible to environmental factors, wear and tear, and other variables that can affect dataaccuracy. ESI’s AI-based calibration technology continuously adjusts measurements, ensuring industry-leading precision in diverse operating conditions.
